Black and White Cassava

Weekend is always the time to create something new. Looking back to my childhood time in Indonesia, I remember that I used to eat many sweet and savoury snacks. But in Indonesia, we use many different kind of ingredients that usually just grow in your neighbourhood! Then I thought, maybe it’s an idea to make little cakes from cassava. If you don’t know what cassava is, it is the third largest carbohydrate source in tropical countries after rice and maize. IMG_4121wm

Anyway, after looking at my kitchen cabinet, to see what I have left to bake a cake, I decided to try to bake the “Black and White Cassava”. Why black and white? Because I combine the pure chocolate and pieces of white chocolate into the cake, and finish it with almonds on the top. The result, I can describe it into one word: hmmmmmmmmmmmm! As you can see in the picture, some sides are a bit overcooked, but after all it was a good trial. Will definitely gonna bake it again!
