Kue Nastar
Grew up in a lovely home, with a mother who loves to cook and bake, I am used to have delicious homemade cookies on the table all the time. Now that I am far away from home, sometimes I miss the authentic taste from the cookies that my mom used to bake. So this time, I give it a try to make “Kue Nastar”. I am not sure how to translate this into English, but it is actually a pineapple cookie. To make it more cheerful, I used food colouring so it looks a bit more fun! Although it seems easy to make, it took me so much time to make these balls one by one. The recipe also calls for a fresh pineapple, but using “time efficiency” as a reason, I decided to use pineapple from the can. Unfortunately, it tastes so much milder and it consists more water than the fresh pineapple. This cause me problem in shaping the cookies into these balls. But hey, no one is perfect right? In the end, it’s a nice try, and most important, it has a right taste and texture 🙂
