Looking back to my childhood time in Indonesia, I remember that I used to eat many sweet and savoury snacks. But in Indonesia, we use many different kind of ingredients that usually just grow in your neighbourhood! Then I thought, maybe it&#8217;s an idea to make little cakes from cassava. If you don&#8217;t know what cassava is, it is the third largest carbohydrate source in tropical countries after rice and maize. <a href=\"https:\/\/twinklecakes.nl\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_4121wm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-675 alignright\" alt=\"IMG_4121wm\" src=\"https:\/\/twinklecakes.nl\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_4121wm-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/twinklecakes.nl\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_4121wm-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/twinklecakes.nl\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_4121wm-432x432.jpg 432w, https:\/\/twinklecakes.nl\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_4121wm-268x268.jpg 268w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anyway, after looking at my kitchen cabinet, to see what I have left to bake a cake, I decided to try to bake the &#8220;Black and White Cassava&#8221;. Why black and white? Because I combine the pure chocolate and pieces of white chocolate into the cake, and finish it with almonds on the top. The result, I can describe it into one word: hmmmmmmmmmmmm! As you can see in the picture, some sides are a bit overcooked, but after all it was a good trial.
